Tuanku Ja’afar dies

SEREMBAN, SAT:

The Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Ja’afar ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, passed away at 11.45am today.
He was 86.

Negeri Sembilan State Secretary Datuk Norzam Mohd Nor announced Tuanku Ja’afar’s demise at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital where he died.
He said Tuanku Ja’afar, who was the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 1994 to 1999, was unwell and had complained of headache and discomfort at 8.10am.
“The hospital was contacted and two senior consultants, Datuk Dr Tarmizi Thayaparan and Datuk Dr K. Sree Raman, rushed to the Istana Hinggap here to attend to Tuanku,” he told a special news conference to announce the demise at the hospital’s VIP room.
Also present at the news conference were Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Osman Salleh, State Director of Health Dr Zainal Arifin Omar and members of the royal family.
Norzam said the two specialists arrived at Istana Hinggap at 8.25am and found Tuanku Ja’afar to be too weak but conscious and they advised that he be taken immediately to hospital.
“Tuanku was rushed to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was administered emergency treatment.
“I wish to state here that Tuanku Ja’afar passed away at 11.45am at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital,” he said.
Norzam said Tuanku Ja’afar’s remains would be taken to the Istana Besar Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah for the lying-in-state ceremony before being laid to rest after the “asar” prayers on Monday.

He also said that this was to allow for the return of Tuanku Ja’afar’s children who were abroad.
Norzam said Tuanku Ja’afar’s remains would be placed in the Balairong Seri (Throne Room) of the Istana Besar Seri Menanti to enable members of the royalty, leaders and the public to pay their last respects.
He said the state had declared 40 days of mourning from today and all official government functions over the next seven days have been postponed.
“All government offices and buildings must fly the state flag at half-mast for the 40 days. During the mourning period, all male government employees must wear the songkok bearing a white band while the female employees are required to wear a white band on a sleeve.
“All entertainment outlets must also postpone all their activities over the next seven days from today,” he said.
Norzam said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, who is on holiday in London, was expected back at 10am tomorrow.

Money and Inflation Rate?

What you can see here is the inflation rate in Malaysia is not stable which is fluctuation. What you can do with RM100k? What will happen to that RM100k in few years later? If we keep in as the fixed deposit? What happen?

The Value of RM100k in few years later
Inflation Rate 2% 4% 6%
10 Years RM 81k RM 66k RM 53k
20 Years RM 66k RM 44k RM 29k
30 Years RM 54k RM 29k RM 15k

As you can see here, the amount of our money in the bank which is considered as the fixed deposit account going to be less than due to the inflation rate. So, the best way to keep you money is you can invest your money through the any unit trust. For example, in Malaysia, we have Public Mutual, CIMB Group, ING Funds, and so on.

I’m going to share the information about the ranking of the Unit Trust in Malaysia

As the conclusion, you can save your money in this Unit Trust rather than you keep it in the Fixed Deposit account. What can I say here is “When there is a crisis, there will be an opportunity“.

Ashraf, Bunga and Pond’s

Hey, wassup guys outside there! Anyway, I would like to say Merry Christmas to everyone that going to celebrate it and the happy new. For those who are not celebrate it, i wanna say happy holiday. As you can see the topic that I’m going talk is Asraf, Bunga and Pond’s.

Finally, Streamyx!

Just wanna inform you that, this morning, TMNet Klang call me and tell me that my account and modem are ready to be collect. Ahaks! Thaks for those who read my blog about me desperate on Streamyx!

What can I say, Jom Streamyx!

I’m going to collect the account details tomorrow after finish my class!

Need Streamyx?

Streamyx

or

Screamyx!

Which one do think should be the famous ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Malaysia? Streamyx or Screamyx? TMNet or TMNut? Choose one guys, just choose one. Haha. I’m just wanna say that I’m not really satisfied with their service at the TM Clicks (the shop).

It’s happened yesterday at the TM Shop at Klang (near to the Klang Parade). I went there for second time already. I feel unsatisfied at the guy you entertain me on the first time. The story started , when I went there last  Tuesday (December 16, ’08). I went there to register TMNet Streamyx for my house in Klang. Then, I submitted to that guy. He just said that they (TMNet) cannot give me the modem cause they don’t have it right now and I have to wait until they phone me and they gonna activate the account within 3 days. After that, I  went there again yesterday to ask back what happen to my account. The answer still the same, the modem hasn’t arrive yet and I need to wait and wait again until they have a money to buy it. What a lousy company? I can’t even get the modem for their customer. It’s gonna make me angry when that guy told me if need it fast, they will send the technician to my house and I need to pay extra RM88 for that technician. WTH?

Now, I need to wait, wait and wait again for that Streamyx Account. To whom it may concern, I want a Streamyx Account for my house. I just need the access login cause I have my own modem.

Not going PC Fair at KLCC?

Not going PC Fair at KLCC? I really want to go to that PC Fair at KLCC but no one to get me there! Urgh, what a bored life cause I don’t have any friends. Haha. I wasn’t a big deal right? Hurm, I went to Digital Mall somewhere at Section 14, Petaling Jaya. Where’s that place? I also don’t know how to explain it. I’m totally blurred about KL.

I bought several things. Wanna see it? (ayat poyo giler)

Heres the latest update about me. That’s all for now!

WordPress 2.7 “Coltrane”

The first thing you’ll notice about 2.7 is its new interface. From the top down, we’ve listened to your feedback and thought deeply about the design and the result is a WordPress that’s just plain faster. Nearly every task you do on your blog will take fewer clicks and be faster in 2.7 than it did in a previous version. (Download it now, or read on for more.)

Next you’ll begin to notice the new features subtly sprinkled through the new interface: the new dashboard that you can arrange with drag and drop to put the things most important to you on top, QuickPress, comment threading, paging, and the ability to reply to comments from your dashboard, the ability to install any plugin directly from WordPress.org with a single click, and sticky posts.

Digging in further you might notice that every screen is customizable. Let’s say you never care about author on your post listings — just click “Screen Options” and uncheck it and it’s instantly gone from the page. The same for any module on the dashboard or write screen. If your screen is narrow and the menu is taking up too much horizontal room, click the arrow to minimize it to be icon-only, and then go to the write page and drag and drop everything from the right column into the main one, so your posting area is full-screen. (For example I like hiding everything except categories, tags, and publish. I put categories and tags on the right, and publish under the post box.)

It’s all about you. It’s the next generation of WordPress, which is why we’ve bestowed it with the honor of being named for John Coltrane. And you can download it today.

Last, but certainly not least, this may be the last time you ever have to manually upgrade WordPress again. We heard how tired you were of doing upgrades for yourself and your friends, so now WordPress includes a built-in upgrade that will automatically notify you of new releases, and when you’re ready it will download them, install them, and upgrade your blog with a single click.

(As with any interface change it may take a little bit of time to acclimate yourself but soon you’ll find yourself whizzing through the screens. Even people who have hated it at first tell us after a few days they wonder how they got by before.)

The Story Behind 2.7

The real reason Coltrane is such a huge leap forward is because the community was so involved with every step of the process. Over 150 people contributed code directly to the release, our highest ever, with many tens of thousands more participating in the polls, surveys, tests, mailing lists, and other feedback mechanisms the WordPress dev team used in putting this release together.

For some of the back story in the development of 2.7, check out these blog posts (thanks to WeblogToolsCollection for the list):

This was interesting to us, a blogging software release we actually blogged about, but the process was hugely informative. Prior to its release today Crazyhorse and 2.7 had been tested by tens of thousands of people on their blogs, hundreds of thousands of you count .com. The volume of feedback was so high that we decided to push back the release date a month to take time to incorporate it all and do more revisions based on what you guys said.

For those of you wondering why we didn’t call this release 3.0, it’s because we abhor version number inflation. 3.0 will just be the next release after 2.9. The major features in new point releases approach also works well for products like OS X, with huge changes between a 10.3 and 10.4.

The Future

Those of you following along at home might have noticed this was our second major redesign of WordPress this year. Whoa nelly! While that wasn’t ideal, and I especially sympathize with those of you creating books or tutorials around WordPress, there’s good news. The changes to WordPress in 2.5 and 2.7 were necessary for us to break free of much of the legacy cruft and interface bloat that had built up over the years (gradually) and more importantly provide us with a UI framework and interface language we can use at the foundation to build tomorrow’s WordPress on, to express ideas we haven’t been able to before. So at the end of 2009 I expect, interface-wise, WordPress to look largely the same as it does now.

That said, we couldn’t be more excited about the future with regards to features. Now that we’ve cleared out more basic things, we are looking forward in the coming year to really tackling media handling including audio and video, better tools for plugin and theme developers, widgets, theme updates, more integrated and contextual help, and easier integration with projects like BuddyPress and bbPress.
